@dominicm: sounds like you would love emacs

dominicm19:07:04

@bojan.matic: My problem with emacs spans out to being far too used to vim, and preferring the mindset of vim users. Vim users are very .. Unix-y. I hate the notion that my editor is my operating system. That isn't to say that I don't access a lot of things from vim, but they're all independent tools that I use outside of vim too.

dominicm19:07:16

I'm just very grumpy about all editors!

bojan.matic19:07:28

i hear you…i actually can’t find an editor that works right for me

bojan.matic19:07:28

i tried ‘em all

roberto19:07:25

I use more than one editor 🙂

flyboarder19:07:04

currently rocking atom after moving off lighttable

flyboarder19:07:22

if only someone would fork atom and rewrite in clojurescript 😛

dominicm19:07:21

I want one editor for editing. If I need many, that's too much brain power required. The less I end up needing to think, the better.

akiva20:07:12

As a life-long vi/vim user, I find Spacemacs to be fantastic.

akiva20:07:17

Can’t recommend it enough.

bojan.matic20:07:34

i’m using atom too, but lately it started being really slow and locking up

flyboarder20:07:09

@bojan.matic: hmmm i havnt noticed anything, could it be a plugin?

bojan.matic20:07:28

i’ve been a big proponent of it to others, and slowness was always everyone’s complaint

bojan.matic20:07:30

now i finally see why

bojan.matic20:07:44

possibly a plugin, but I don’t know, haven’t added new ones for a while

bojan.matic20:07:12

btw atom in clojurescript? - why do we have lighttable then? 😛

flyboarder20:07:33

a few of my atom plugins got updated reently

flyboarder20:07:56

and because i think it would make a better lighttable

flyboarder20:07:19

lighttable needs so much love might as well rewrite it

bojan.matic20:07:24

they done messed up when they wrote atom in coffeescript

flyboarder20:07:04

they had the option of making it great and they made it cool for like 2009

bojan.matic20:07:22

i was so excited when i saw the lighttable announcement way back when

bojan.matic20:07:32

“finally, an emacs for 21st century! oh boy!"

flyboarder20:07:10

I know! but since it’s not getting much lead dev love anymore it’s almost time for a new project 😉

flyboarder20:07:33

why cant my os be lisp!! then all my things are an editor

bojan.matic20:07:42

then i got excited about neovim…still waiting on that one lol

flyboarder20:07:16

when i finally get some time off my work projects i want to tackle a lisp ide for tablets

bojan.matic20:07:48

i was thinking about something similar…but i still don’t have the skill and lisp knowledge for that

flyboarder20:07:01

i dont either, thats why I want to do it 😛

bojan.matic20:07:13

i think lisp would lend itself well to a graphical ui code builder thingy

flyboarder20:07:30

yeah something like noflojs?

flyboarder20:07:45

I think a clojurescript wrapper for that could be very useful, but it needs easier ui creation, im no designer

bojan.matic20:07:53

never heard of noflojs

bojan.matic20:07:04

looks interesting

bojan.matic20:07:09

have you seen luna-lang?

bojan.matic20:07:20

it was shared here recently

flyboarder20:07:22

cool, registered!
