What's the update on LightTable these days? I left clojure for a year, wanna develop in a Windows machine

benedek15:08:47

i think @rundis did quite a bit of work around clj/cljs support there via https://github.com/rundis/clj-light-refactor

edthix15:08:01

Basically what's a good IDE (not emacs) for Clojure on Windows? any inputs from all?

sveri15:08:12

Cursive for IntelliJ

edthix15:08:48

IntelliJ ok checking it out

edthix15:08:00

Seems like light table (the one I have) is still 0.7.2

cristian15:08:58

I don't know about light table... they did released more versions but if I were to take a guess that project is dead

cristian15:08:16

They are focusing now in a new thing

cristian15:08:21

eve I think is called

darwin15:08:28

LightTable is dead IMO, you can help me build a new one: https://github.com/darwin/plastic

cristian15:08:28

Not clojure related afaik

edthix15:08:32

LT is dead? aaww too bad

benedek15:08:15

well, again rundis did invest some time in it and posted lt mailing list about the revival of the project

benedek15:08:29

but no idea how that worked out. i am more like an emacs user 😉

sveri15:08:23

Hm, isn't lighttable open sourced on github? So it's up to the community to decide if it's dead or not

darwin15:08:31

I was just referring to recent development activity.

benedek15:08:39

essentially yes i guess

benedek15:08:06

again: i think although the core project is close to dead clojure support got much better lately

darwin15:08:08

apologies, didn’t want to hurt anyones feelings

meow16:08:51

LT works and is a decent stepping stone for starting with ClojureScript. But it doesn't currently appear to have much of a future. I used it as a crutch while I looked at various alternative editors. I've been very happy with Cursive/IntelliJ on Windows and I'm keeping an eye on the work that @darwin is doing with plastic. Cursive has a lot going for it and the support is great.

chris17:08:12

will +1 on cursive if you don’t want to use emacs. If you are a little more flexible on emacs maybe try spacemacs

cristian18:08:52

I really have tried to use other editors and ides, and I'm a fan of IntelliJ.... but for clojure things I always end up using emacs

benedek19:08:45

http://www.parens-of-the-dead.com/ is magic re. emacs skills with clojure
