@borkdude You asked about this ages ago, and it's finally a reality https://github.com/nrepl/proof (that's an nREPL protocol compat tool) It's still a prototype mostly, but it's way better than nothing. 🙂 You'll be happy to hear that in my tests Babashka's nREPL seemed quite compatible with the spec! I did it in Go, as I hope it will have users outside the Clojure community, in case someone's wondering about the choice of technology.

Do you have plans to extend this to also allow testing clients? It seems like there's probably more need for that, since there are a lot more clients than servers.

@cfleming Yeah, I do. I'm already doing some experiments in this direction and I hope to solidify things in the next month or so.

Probably all my nREPL implementations will fail, but I'll check it later 😄
