I would very much appreciate a new release of Orchard to start integrating the latest changes into cider-nrepl. I also forgot to add this line to changelog, sorry about that.

Alright! Please remember to favor github for these communications, this channel has 101 members who cannot help with your request ^^

Yeah, we've talked about this before. I feel that creating a GH issue for this kind of transient message is a bit of an overkill, pollutes search, etc. And this channel doesn't see much activity anyway:)

oyakushev 2024-05-30T13:59:28.350439Z

Or a separate channel could work, but then we'll just arrive at <#GLRT1LZS6|> again:)

Actually, I can make the release requests as PRs ๐Ÿ’ก.

You can just use an existing thread, https://github.com/clojure-emacs/orchard/pull/272 would have seemed a natural place

While itโ€™s true that this channel doesnโ€™t see much activity, I come here to check it every time I see a new message, so Iโ€™d prefer to keep the nitty gritty of release management somewhere else if possible since most of it isnโ€™t relevant to me.

I just realized we hadnโ€™t updated the stable release docs for CIDER since 1.8. facepalm I just fixed it for most recent releases, except CIDER 1.10 as it was cut without setting the docs version in that release. 1.14 docs are here https://docs.cider.mx/cider/1.14/index.html

yeah the tags: thing is pretty brittle, for that matter cider-nrepl also would need a bump

vemv 2024-05-30T15:16:35.587619Z

We could ensure at Makefile level that the declared tags are up to date

bozhidar 2024-05-30T15:20:46.705569Z

Yeah, we should discuss some options how to make things more reliable around the docs. I didnโ€™t notice this for so long because I always read only the master docs.

bozhidar 2024-05-30T15:21:04.108459Z

Anyways, no users complained, so I guess many of them also read the master docs. ๐Ÿ™‚
