Totally. But I found it a bit concerning to hear that his effort for creating functional programming courseware, now targeted for Clojure, isn't taking off. It's all just economics, so are there more similar offerings, or does nobody care as much? I just started looking in the LispCast YouTube backlog which seems to show a glimpse of the tutorials and I was quite impressed. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL-WcZvHCNz9ZF6apcgymCA What do you think?

AFAIR - he said that there are enough people who don’t know about his work, I do understand that it is a small market, so probably it is adding up to it.

@ericnormand is a pioneer and is taking some risks. But hockey puck growth is coming :)

i just met the guy doing functional php and i'm so jealous

ericnormand11:04:08

he does zero marketing

ericnormand11:04:25

well, that's not quite true

ericnormand11:04:46

he's well-connected in the php world

raymcdermott12:04:54

so maybe do functional cobol?

raymcdermott12:04:14

I believe there is hockey stick growth there too … if you hold the graph in a certain direction
