Hello everyone, possible "stupid" question, non the less: How big are the differences from datomic cloud to datomic pro? I guess datomic pro is the product i would use on a vps. And i am considering getting this course but it is using datomic cloud: https://learndatomic.com

d/entity is easily replaced w/ datafy/nav. excision is neat, if you need it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to design a system that does. I really do like Cloud– Ions are really useful. I'd start there.

and one more vote towards cloud, Pro has quite a bit of tuning parameters that cloud already has well defined out of the box

I am considering Pro to Cloud since I do both backend and frontend development, but Cloud isn’t available in my region (AP Seoul). Is there any plan to expand availability to other region?

datomic pro is better documented and provides more customization and configuration options as you scale datomic cloud is somewhat of a turn key solution

if you are interested, I believe my team has some day of datomic training resources that I can see about helping you out with 🙂

some key things to consider, only pro has d/entity and excision
