Can you provide the steps to import https://github.com/Datomic/mbrainz-sample into datomic-free, There is https://github.com/Datomic/mbrainz-importer . Can it be used ? Could you provide the changes ?

Gerald, backup and restore are not included in Datomic free. And shoe horning is possible with importer, but I wouldn't want you to spend the time to do that unless you think it's absolutely necessary to use free to explore Mbrainz. Why do you want to use free? To potentially provide clarity, Datomic Pro Starter has no cost. And is intended to allow devs to explore. It includes a perpetual license that is good for all releases of Datomic released before the expiration date. No purchase is required. You simply create an account with my.datomic at https://my.datomic.com/account/create

Then agree:

and get a license key + access to download the datomic.zip.

Datomic Free is intended for distributed uses of Datomic and does not have all the features of Datomic Pro. and I'd recommend if your use case is exploration to just sign up for pro-starter and then you can use the instructions under the README in the https://github.com/Datomic/mbrainz-sample.
