if I am using ions and query groups in AWS, do I need to stick with the recommended instance types or can I use something like a memory optimized instance? I have some very memory hungry queries and low query volume on this query group
Hi Joe, nice to talk to you again. Can you tell me why those instances are recommended over the others? Specifically what performance characteristics make one instance type preferable over another?
Hey Scott, so I don't work for cognitect so I'm not an "official" source of truth. That being said, I may still be able to provide some helpful information. Which specific instance types are you working with right now? Also, maybe there is a way to reduce the memory consumption of said queries?
