i have a RESTful API written in Clojure with no dependency on Datomic Cloud (although many of services make use of Cloud and Ions, so the infrastructure exists). is a new Query Group, http-direct, and Ions combination still a good solution for deploying it?
the crux
(ha ha) of my question is regarding micro services. in this case it's a simple API and Ions makes it so easy to deploy, but for every micro service i face another ~$8 a month for a single t2.medium to support its new Query Group, which is the minimum EC2 instance size. with many services (including dev, stg, and prod targets) it adds up.
