excited to try this! I’m building something using Lucene for the first time and it has a million knobs for everything, looks like you decided to remove many of them 😄
I have not decided on the search query language format, and would be interested in hearing some thoughts.
yes, i think it has past the time for an independent search engine, search should just be a function of a database.
@huahaiy just throwing https://eng.uber.com/h3/ your way for when you consider geospatial. I still haven't gotten time to look into bitmap-based geospatial indexing but this seems like it could power a similar idea and could potentially be wired into some of the bitwise keyspace scans that LMDB can do. If this is irrelevant then please forgive 🙂
