Hey folks - I have a possible opportunity for a short contract engagement which could turn into something longer. Ideal person: experienced engineer with Data Engineering and AI/ML know-how. Knowledge of Clojure, Temporal and Amazon Sagemaker would be a big bonus. Interest or referrals - DM me please!

This is probably better put in #C05006WDW

Chris Herron18:10:06

Sorry - shall fix shortly!

otfrom18:10:28

No worries. Easily done

otfrom18:10:37

Would be cool to know more about what bits of clojure you are using to solve the problems and how it is going though

Chris Herron20:10:44

@U0525KG62 My company is Crossbeam. The majority of our core platform is in Clojure. For the engagement above, it would be green field proof-of-concept work, however as mentioned in my responses in an https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C0BQDEJ8M/p1697898337986989 above, we have been moving our home-grown data pipeline over to Temporal, so that plumbing exists. I'm not assuming that the AI work involved must be in Clojure (Python is so prevalent in the space as you know), however Clojure familiarity would be helpful in navigating our existing stack.

otfrom20:10:26

Cool. The scicloj and http://tech.ml (and libpython) stuff might help with the integration. https://github.com/clj-python/libpython-clj

I'm not familiar with temporal

otfrom20:10:52

Just read the other thread now. Sorry if a lot of this is repetitive

otfrom20:10:04

Sounds like cool stuff

vonadz09:10:56

Maybe me in a couple of months when I've automated the data pipelines using Temporal for my own business 😉

Chris Herron21:10:12

Thanks for the pointers @U0525KG62 !
