Cursive REPLs doesn't start at all in IntelliJ IDEA 2024.1 EAP 7 I just get an Unknown error notification, titled Error running '<some run config name>'

When I copy the version information from the About IDEA popup, these are the only lines, which mention EAP, but none of them say EAP 7 specifically...

How do I know that I'm running EAP 7?... Even the JetBrains Toolbox drop-down menu doesn't say EAP 7.

after restarting intellij, this problem is not reproducible.
