@cfleming was eap4 accidentally released? i was prompted to upgrade, but now it's gone.

cfleming06:09:40

No, it should still be there. I released it but then got dragged away on family stuff before sending the notifications - going out now.

not there for me

cfleming01:09:15

I’m not sure why it wouldn’t appear, it’s definitely deployed: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/8090-cursive/versions/eap

cfleming01:09:26

If you go to Settings | Plugins, then select Cursive, doesn’t it prompt you to update?

steveb8n02:09:43

no, here’s what I see in market search

cfleming04:09:22

I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be working, I’ll ask JetBrains.

steveb8n04:09:19

it is strange. I’ll try updating IJ itself and see if anything changes

steveb8n04:09:19

hold horses. when I update IDE it shows new cursive version

cfleming04:09:25

That’s weird. Both versions should be available on 2023.1. @U086D6TBN, you mentioned it was gone, have you managed to upgrade?

steveb8n04:09:47

maybe settings has different source of releases to IDE update?

cfleming04:09:48

I’m not sure, it shouldn’t do. Maybe it just hadn’t refreshed from the server, and upgrading forced that?

steveb8n04:09:20

must be something like that. I ran out of space during upgrade so cleaning up but will confirm success when done

cfleming04:09:32

Awesome, thanks.

onetom04:09:11

yes, i've upgraded already; eap4 has just reappeared on its own. i was already on 2023.2.2 when this disappearing act has happened, so i haven't done any upgrade to make it reappear. i might have restarted intellij, but not sure. it feels like this was just some temporary issue, caused by some network / plugin server outage.

cfleming04:09:35

Yeah, I agree, perhaps they’re having some issues.

steveb8n04:09:14

eap4 now showing in settings. must have been the ide update attempt that flushed some cache

cfleming04:09:03

Ok great, glad it’s working now.

steveb8n05:09:17

I’d like to update to 2023.2 as well. where’s the compat docs for Cursive? I can never find them

steveb8n05:09:48

reason being Illuminated Cloud requires that version

cfleming05:09:22

That’s because there really aren’t any, which is not the answer I’d like to give. But you can always check the versions available at the plugin repo page, EAP link here: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/8090-cursive/versions/eap

steveb8n05:09:59

yeah, I found that earlier, hence the question

cfleming05:09:18

Cursive version numbers are <Cursive version>-<platform version>, so 1.13.1-eap4-2023.2 will work with IntelliJ 2023.2.

cfleming05:09:28

But that’s… not ideal as user facing doc, I’ll admit.

steveb8n05:09:32

great. I’ll update now to make IC happy

cfleming05:09:36

I’ll look at generating a page, I should be able to get all that info programatically from the repo.

excellent. I was wondering why that was happening
