i just updated intellij and cursive. am i going crazy, or is it now highlighting the brace after my cursor instead of before? i'm sure it used to be the other way round

polymeris22:04:41

Just joined the channel just to see if somebody had a fix for this

I noticed that too recently

conan16:04:41

i've spent all day writing values outside of maps, i hope it's not just me 😂

manutter5116:04:30

It’s definitely highlighting after the cursor now, been driving me nuts. Never noticed it before.

conan16:04:11

but did it do the one before previously? that's the question!

manutter5117:04:13

I’m assuming it did — it was intuitive so I never paid attention to it.

elena.poot00:04:34

It did. If you go to the http://cursive-ide.com/userguide/paredit.html, you can even see it in action in the second animation

Ivan Koz16:04:40

@cfleming is there any possibility to see a dedicated highlighting style for docstrings in near future? It's a pain. https://gyazo.com/0a4910a1c4b51210fcd96dba9aaf1472.png

cfleming22:04:08

Unfortunately that’s actually surprisingly tricky. I’ll see if I can do something there.

Ivan Koz16:04:22

maybe proper docstring folding also?

scotts16:04:13

I see Cursive can start a local repl with clojure.main. Can it connect to a remote Socket Server repl? or only nRepl?

Chris17:04:22

hey @cfleming - did something change recently with the way paren matching highlights? When I have two closing parens together it seems now to highlight the one to the right - which makes it a little misleading when we combine it with evaluate statement which evaluates the form to the left of the cursor (and now is not the highlighted one)

Chris17:04:23

Ah, I see that @conan and @manutter51 have just posted on this too.

conan18:04:03

Phew! I’m not losing my mind

Chris18:04:09

Yeah, I can't figure out how to enable/disable it in the settings - it's been like this for like a week or so

cfleming22:04:30

@conan @manutter51 Yes, that is super annoying. It’s slated to be fixed in 2019.1.2: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-210104

Chris13:04:34

Ah, thanks @cfleming - good to see it's an issue with IDEA and will be fixed soon!

polymeris20:04:32

This is "fixed" in 2019.1.2, but it's still highlighting the wrong parens

cfleming22:04:10

Oh, and @chris547 @polymeris ^^^
