1) hey, is there any ready solution for “unique files names for CSS / JS”. The main reason is to force reload js and css in web browser after deploy. Different name does the job. 2) another topic: resize images for previews. smaller images, than original. 3) search field in blog to search in articles
3) I use just Google (see http://blog.jakubholy.net). There is https://cryogenweb.org/docs/add-basic-search.html and certainly other DIY options. For 1 and 2 no, they're is no ready solution. IMO Cryogen is about providing a solid base + all the power of Clojure to extend it as you wish rather than a complete solution for all possible needs.
From fast tests and live demo https://blog.stderr.at/ of https://cryogenweb.org/docs/add-basic-search.html I can see the match for searching words is very poor. But google do the job. I didn’t think about it. Thank you.
I wish cryogen to have some common helpers, but I see the point.
This one is a little offtopic: Do you know if adding “share” button to tech articles have a real value? Do people really click “share” instead of copy & paste the link? I never use share button and it is hard for me to imagine other tech people use share button.
I think it might make sense on mobile where copy paste is not that easy
Do you use it yourself? I don’t know anyone who use share button (I didn’t ask), but everywhere they claim how important it is to have share button.
I have never seen trusted article about share button for tech content (instead of some stupid stuff like funny cats)
I sit mostly on desktop and, yeah I tend to copy. I use share button when I want to share and don't have a lot of ideas on what to write
but on mobile is not easy to share links via copy paste
I understand the theory, but the question is if tech people use share button on mobile or desktop.
don't have data
exactly, I have never seen them
myself, I can count on fingers the numbers i used a share button
yeah, I have never used share button in my live
Same here
