I'm currently exploring static site generators and considering cryogen. I'm wanting to convert a Wordpress blog something simpler. Two things that would help me decide on cryogen are: 1. A tool that can convert Wordpress content (preferably from a backup file but from a database works too) into the files Cryogen expects. 2. A way to maintain link compatibility (for the already-published blog posts) apart from constructing a redirect table by hand. Does anybody know whether such tools exist for Cryogen?

I am not aware of them, but i can at least say that cryogen is pleasant to use
