I think the reboot just failed, because I can log in on another TTY and it looks okay...

Oh, I ran startx in another TTY, swapped back and it's still installing fine. So if I'd rebooted because if that screen it would have killed everything hah. Glad I investigated

I'm back in! Although Ubuntu has launched a desktop as a program inside i3 and I can't kill it.

I think when it comes time for me to upgrade, I might just back up my home directory and wipe my hard drive and start from scratch!

I upgraded (my servers) to 20.04 - went very smoothly

The only thing I had an issue with was some old python 2 stuff no longer being there.

It's all good now, just a bit of a hiccup with that desktop booting as a window. Now seeing if I can upgrade Fennel in Aniseed but I might drop that for a while, it's causing all sorts of weird output in the tests (Conjure actually works fine on Fennel 0.4.0 though)

Oh, Python 2 is there for me, my docker has gone and Python 3 Neovim support vanished though.
