my talk got accepted for clojure/west!

alexmiller16:02:15

I think all responses for c/west are going out now so if you don't see it in the next hr or so let us know

gerred16:02:42

oh, oops, maybe I should've waited in my excitement @alexmiller

gerred16:02:05

oh, email says public knowledge.

alexmiller16:02:55

yeah, no worries

alexmiller16:02:23

we won't post anything till probably early next week on the site as we wait to hear back from everyone

shaun-mahood17:02:02

My talk didn't get accepted, but the process of figuring out what to submit and starting to prepare for it has really had a positive effect on focusing my efforts. Really looking forward to seeing the list of talks and hoping I can still make it to the conference.

alexmiller17:02:15

selection was super hard for this conf - there were so many good proposals

seancorfield21:02:45

Now that the notifications have gone out, roughly how long before the website is updated to show speakers / topics @alexmiller ?

alexmiller21:02:02

just waiting for people to respond

alexmiller21:02:27

then just need to run a bit of Clojure code to turn the spreadsheet into a web page :)

seancorfield21:02:30

Cool. Just so I don’t start obsessively watching the site expecting it to "update any minute now"

venantius22:02:40

:stuck_out_tongue:

venantius22:02:22

as someone whose talk wasn’t selected, it would be great to get feedback on the rationale so I can learn from the experience

venantius23:02:56

++ thanks :smile:
