We have been trying to reach out to Slack to see if we can get Pro for a "free open-source community" but haven't heard anything back so we are assuming this is completely random. Be prepared for it to go away (just before Christmas too -- it'll feel like Scrooge has visited us!).
Finally I can mark all those unread threads read so that the notification will work again for the channel 😄
