@bendlas: I think it would be really cool to set up a slack bridge for this community. Did something change or do we still need to run and maintain that bridge on our own?

bendlas10:11:51

@martinklepsch http://riot.im has buttons now, to set up slack bridges. I assumed this meant that they run it on their servers

martinklepsch10:11:13

@bendlas yeah I checked, seems they do that now

martinklepsch10:11:33

asked in the Riot channel if there's a difference to the slack appservice bridge but haven't yet received a response

martinklepsch10:11:21

asking again...

martinklepsch10:11:39

Ok so seems to be the very same integration

martinklepsch10:11:34

@bendlas asked in #slack-help

martinklepsch10:11:44

Not sure how many admins are in here/check messages

bendlas10:11:45

@martinklepsch well, there is discussion about slack alternatives on the hack pad and apparently people are aware of matrix and its existing slack integration. I'd really like to try it out and see how bad it is to have matrix participants in show up as bots in slack ...

bendlas10:11:10

don't know who to ask for the webhook uri, though

martinklepsch10:11:36

@bendlas there's also #community-matrix with all the Matrix enthusiasts 🙂

martinklepsch10:11:57

@bendlas I'll ask in #slack-help and ping an admin directly if nothing turns up there

bendlas11:11:35

@martinklepsch just tested the integration with a slack team I own, works beautifully

martinklepsch11:11:30

unfortunately none of the admins seems online

bendlas11:11:20

good thing about this new kind of chat is: they can see it later 😉

martinklepsch11:11:42

yeah but I wanna try it NOW 😄
