Yeah it’s at least few tens of kilometers to proper cottage from Tampere center, probably more

And I don’t know about cottages near Tampere, I think the proper place is by Lake Saimaa in Eastern Finland 😄

I have rented cottages in the summer time few times, http://www.huvila.net is also ok.

but usually have to take a boat, bus or a car usually to get to those.
