Did anyone tried to call that number on skillsmatter website? Do they refund tickets?
It would be extremely unlikely to have any refund - the company has gone into administration, and as a unsecured creditor (and non-preferred creditor), you are bottom of the list to be paid any refund
People who get paid first (after being bought or assets being sold) are secured creditors - i.e., estate agents, banks, then comes preferred creditors i.e., employees, then lastly the rest - and only if there is money left after everything has been sold off/paid etc...
All you can do is register your "interest" with the administrator and maybe, in a few years, you might get something...
A colleague called the administrator, they promised a call back that still didn’t happened. Will keep the channel posted.
I’ve also been told that credit cards (and visa debit) have to refund you by law if you demonstrate the service wasn’t delivered. They’ll then proceed to try to get the money back instead of you. This is of course for those who payed by credit card. (But IANAL, not a lawyer, you’ll have to verify this, some link here https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/section-75-of-the-consumer-credit-act)
The site for re:Clojure has been updated with the schedule of talks for the day, please join us if you can on 2nd December in London! https://www.reclojure.org
