Hi all. Just got aware of this channel. Very good thing to go with a great podcast. I listened to the last episode, on immutability and just wanted to share that my experience with it never was painful as it seemed to have been for the hosts. I think that fit me it was more liberating than anything else.

Oh interesting. Great to hear that someone clicked with immutable data right away. For me, I had to unlearn a couple habits that I didn't know I had. What was your transition like?

pez18:08:27

A lot of my programming over the years have been transformation of text. Often in a pipeline manner. But this isn't really about me. 😀 I was more reflecting over that the episode, which was great, might have exaggerated the pains a bit. There is also a joy to throwing old habits over board! (And I am probably exaggerating how much you focused on the pains.)

nate18:08:58

Ah yes. We can get a little exaggerated.

nate18:08:52

I agree that pipelines and transformations carry well in the land of immutability.

And that old habits are fun to toss, especially if you can toss out bugs in the process.

Haha, yeah, you get carried away. That's why I love the show.
