@gary: you should be able to join a team for about 1.5 hours still

gary16:12:24

timezone was utc 😔

gary16:12:55

so yesterday at six was the cutoff

elahti16:12:34

@gary: I opened the registration again and will close it today at 18:00 UTC so you still have time.

elahti16:12:45

So go and join simple_smile

elahti16:12:30

The deadline of team registration was there so that we'll have time to prepare the server info. But that's done so there is no point in closing the registration just yet.

gary17:12:07

still haven't gotten an invite token from anyone, not sure if the team page is up to date because people are telling me their team is full when it shows they only have two people

elahti17:12:17

what team is in question?

elahti17:12:46

i'll check amount of invitations.

elahti17:12:03

There should be 2 free invitations.

elahti17:12:45

Are you sure you can't join with them?

gary17:12:49

maybe they have people that just haven't accepted yet

elahti17:12:38

So you're waiting for invitation token from your team? We can surely wait for that. Also if you've logged in at least once then we can map you to the team later on too.

selfsame17:12:23

@elahti is using the cloudfront server mandatory this year?

elahti17:12:05

@selfsame: no. you are free to set up the server as you wish. the server should just serve the application, preferably at http://your-server-ip:80 and you'll have to put that url to the teams page. judges will then use that to evaluate your work.

elahti17:12:41

@selfsame: practically what you'll get from us is username and password to upcloud's management console. from there you can create the server. then you'll need to put the IP and other specific info to form at team page. You'll see this form when the server info has been distributed to teams.

elahti17:12:51

@selfsame: there'll be also some instructions on the team page that should make things clear.

elahti17:12:37

@gary: there's no accepting. It should be enough that you put the team token to the form and click join team. Then you'll get automatically assigned to the team without anyone accepting you joining the team.

gary17:12:31

no, I meant that they said they were full, but the other two people haven't signed up yet so that's why it looks like they have two spots open

elahti17:12:45

oh, right. now i got it simple_smile

elahti17:12:04

thanks for explaining

elahti23:12:07

Each team should now have information regarding servers in the team page.
