can't help wondering if the most appropriate representation of this is (< 3) which returns true, or, literally '<3 which returns <3 🫣 😁

My heart loves both! You may also enjoy this ascii* art infused poem :) https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C03SRH97FDK/p1771111015924489 * Actually Unicode ;)

We'll accept "both" as the correct answer! 😁

In the tangle of ode threads scattered about our channels it is said that the genesis for these odes was a jank stream. Technically the idea harkens back to an earlier in the month Valentines themed mob programming session intended to reach a crowd less versed in the ways of parenthetical thought. Hence the more “web” based ASCII emoticon. Which I then reused in the jank poem when it occurred to me that the jank logo is a Unicode emoticon. The heart of Clojure (< 3) expression I coined on LinkedIn some time back to become a shibboleth among the Clojure avout.* So now you have the complete lore ;) https://www.linkedin.com/posts/srcer_for-the-love-of-code-3-thu-feb-5-2026-activity-7425066318711644160-_tWO * Anathem reference. Similar to devout, but more so.
