A very good morning!

So, this will probably confound folks living in my motherland: where I live now, in Ohio, residents are responsible for the condition of the sidewalk that runs along the front of their property! You're required to sweep it when it snows, and generally keep it in good repair. Two sections of our concrete sidewalk have cracked and subsided, so they are trip hazards -- and we would be liable for any injuries sustained by third parties. Heck, I've nearly gone flying, putting the bin out at the foot of the drive on a Thursday night! So, we are having about 25 feet of sidewalk replaced, at a cost of nearly $3k (concrete is really expensive right now, gee, I wonder why?).
