Mornin'... Just had our first visit from door-to-door religion salesfolk -- given Ohio's conservative nature, I'm surprised it's taken a whole year for that to happen.

Did you invite them in to talk about Clojure ? 🙂

They were holding a pamphlet entitled "Memorial for the Death of Jesus" so I felt it better to say "Not interested, thanks, bye!" and close the door. In the past, I have invited JWs in and discussed a bunch of contradictions in the bible to the point where the younger one started saying "Hmm, you have a point there..." whereupon the older one decided they should both leave 🙂

But I don't know what stripe of Christian this lot were so I don't know whether it would be fun to try to talk them out of their beliefs 🙂

(and, also, I'm a bit rusty on my bible now -- I had to study it at school: Collyer's Grammar School, with compulsory religious education for four years to O-level!)

Yeah, 2025 just flew by... We did our house-hunting at the very beginning of February, closed in early March, moved in April. We arrived on the 8th, with the cats and some personal belongings -- then I flew back to oversee the packing etc and drove the same 2,500 miles again, arriving for the second and last time on the 21st. 5,000 miles of driving in two and a half weeks!

Time seems to speed up when one gets older

No wonder time is just flying by for me then 😄
