Jay will be over in the UK, without me, in a few weeks. The daughter of our best Bay Area friends is moving to Dundee to study for a year. She wants to take her cat, so our friends asked Jay to go with her (since Jay has traveled overseas with cats a lot) and are paying Jay's airfare etc. We're not actually sure if the cat will go -- they're having problems finding student digs in Dundee that accept pets -- but Jay will accompany the daughter anyway because our friends are "helicopter parents" (even after 30 years!) and the daughter hasn't traveled much and isn't very worldly so having a "responsible adult" around would likely be very helpful anyway.

I have a copy of The Joy of Clojure (2nd ed.) I'm happy to send to a good home
