Do you have the ability to control remotely? I use home-assistant for a lot of things in my house

like turning on my portable aircon or a fan, or lights

I don't like smart devices, TBH. They're hard to avoid these days tho'...

The thing I like about home-assistant, is that it's mine. it's internal, data doesn't go to anyone else.

The main thing we control remotely is our ADT Security system. Our washer/dryer has an app that lets us know when we need to go down to the basement to swap clothes in/out. We have two thermometers downstairs that are on wifi. Two TVs on wifi.

I would definitely check out the home-assistant forums and see if your devices are supported.

It's neat being able to turn on the fan/aircon/lights when I'm away from home and travelling back

(or turn them off, as the case may be)
