When the General Election happens, I think people will be looking for a change. I get the impression that people are tired of the many years in power of the Conservatives.
So, unless something majorly bad happens to Labour between now and then, I feel they will get in.
I saw somewhere that if the results are really bad for the Conservatives, Sunak might get booted.
(Personally, if I lived in London, I would be voting for the only candidate that makes any sense and has decent policies. Count Binface (https://www.countbinface.com/)
Whoops apparently I can vote but didn't register in time. 😅 Since I've only been here 3 months it probably wouldn't be fair as I have no idea what any of the candidates stand for. Almost certainly would have voted for Binface. Ceefax fan lol! Or does he mean Ceephax [Acid Crew]?
I’M THE ONLY POLITICIAN WHO STANDS UP FOR VOTERS. I’M THE ONLY POLITICIAN WHO ASKS WHY A 99 FLAKE COSTS A FIVER…
Yay! Voting is important! I voted in every election at every level in England from when I was 18 until I emigrated to California in '99 -- and then after five years of dealing with the INS to become a citizen, I've voted in every possible election since 2005. Very important civic duty! (as is jury service)
I think voting is important too. My kid was with me to see how it was done (he dropped the ballot sheet into the box as well)
I too talk to my kids about the importance of voting with irritating regularity around election times. Recently I was having a friendly argument with a friend about democracy and I did a bit of a deep dive on ourworldindata (he was claiming that "democracy" is a meaningless term and should not be applied to any modern nation). I somehow didn't realize that widespread democracy is only decades young. In 1945 less than 8% of countries were even electoral democracies, peaking at 51% in 2012. It makes the whole experiment seem very fragile. Whoops, this probably belongs in #C03RZGPG3.
