Morning all 🙂

greg08:09:01

Morning. Any companies in UK using Fulcro on production?

thomas13:09:52

Not in UK, but in the NL Avisi uses Fulcro in prod.

Yuriy Zaytsev16:09:23

We were using it in my previous company

MGD12:09:29

Looking forward to meeting anyone coming to the London Clojure Dojo this evening 🙂

Ben Hammond14:09:16

wow ! https://twitter.com/CenterParcsUK/status/1569630938614603777 Holiday park are kicking out paying guest for 24 hours as a mark of respect

Ben Hammond14:09:53

kinda hard to see how they would actually follow through on that

Ben Hammond14:09:07

feels like a P&O moment

Conor14:09:44

I personally would be too sad to enjoy the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, so I think this move makes sense

Given CenterParcs demographic, I would expect all their paying guests to want to attend the funeral "celebrations" in person anyway 🙂

seancorfield18:09:30

(my cousin takes his family to CP every year -- same CP, same week, same experience and has been doing so for years and years)

dharrigan21:09:23

The U turn was quick in coming.

seancorfield21:09:25

OMG, their Twitter feed is an absolute dumpster fire in the aftermath of this -- I haven't seen any tweets that they've changed their position?

seancorfield21:09:37

Haha... in one of threads, in response to a family with autistic kids affected by this "Hi. I'm a journalist with the Mirror. Would you be happy to speak to us about this? Email is..." CP is going to get slaughtered in the media for this! 1,200+ replies to their initial tweet about it and still growing...

seancorfield21:09:42

Oh, just found some news reports that they've reversed their position -- nothing on their Twitter feed still tho'...

seancorfield21:09:09

Ah, because they haven't actually changed their position -- they're just no longer forcing people to "leave for the day" if they arrive before Monday and leave afterward. But they're still closing on Monday. Wow. Idiotic. People will have made all sorts of travel plans in addition to the actual CP booking.

seancorfield21:09:38

"The vast majority of our guests are either due to arrive or depart on Monday 19th September. We have however, reviewed our position regarding the very small number of guests who are not due to depart on Monday and we will be allowing them to stay on our villages rather than having to leave and return on Tuesday. "The villages will still remain closed on Monday and we will be offering a discount for the lack of facilities available on that day."

Aron16:09:41

very reasonable

Aron16:09:48

I kinda like how they navigated it

seancorfield17:09:07

@U0VQ4N5EE Not really: there are plenty of people who made travel plans to arrive on Monday -- including people coming in from overseas -- who are now faced with finding alternate accommodation and stuff to do with their family that day at the last minute, which all adds stress, cost, and inconvenience that the "discount" won't come close to covering 😐 The only thing they're not doing now is making (a small number of) guests leave and then return if their stay extended over Monday. Everyone else who is already scheduled to leave on Monday will be kicked out of the parks in the morning, even though they'd normally be allowed to stay their all day, after checking out, and use all the facilities. Again, people with travel plans for leaving late on Monday are now stuck trying to find somewhere else to go and do stuff with their families 😐

Aron17:09:50

i see, it does look bad
