Hi, I have switched to Kali Linux on my home laptop as I thought it might be a good idea to be acquainted with the basics of pen testing. In my work experience ,pen testers and developers are working in silos. I think it is time to smudge the boundaries a bit. I have a twitter list on cyber security. What I read in it makes my head spin. I can't get in to that space in my limited time as Cybersecurity is a rabbit hole. Too much knowledge to ingest. But keeping my “nose in, while the hands are out “ is the first step.

Yeah, cybersecurity is very much a silo overall it seems. There is the usual attitude that basically tells everyone that "you are too dumb for this" and "leave if for the experts"
