Good Morning!

Aron08:05:36

I wonder how many companies have a weekly standup with a fixed segment for 'successes'

rickmoynihan10:05:07

Careful, if you add fixed segments on failures, and trade-offs it might start to approach a development discussion! 🙂

dharrigan08:05:28

We try to have a friday success gathering - although it waxes and wanes depending upon enthusiasm

Aron08:05:19

sounds different. Here there is a fixed standup, almost always done by the same person or someone in their place and it's very forced.

steffan12:05:35

Sounds like it should be asynchronous, rather than force people to a schedule. In a previous job, we had a Slack channel where success news items were posted.

Aron17:05:08

Yeah, like releases are posted here:) Currently at my work all that would count as success that we list on prompt during standup

Aron17:05:24

well, not us, our managers

dharrigan08:05:31

ah, no, we don't do that

dharrigan08:05:33

sounds painful

Aron08:05:12

don't have to listen to it if I don't want to, but obviously there is useful information in a weekly standup too, so when I had time I was listening in

Aron08:05:21

still feels surreal

Aron08:05:37

it's exactly like how I remember kindergarten
