Mornin' all

alexlynham10:03:33

morning morning

alexlynham10:03:50

still writing rust, hoping that one day cljrs will be complete enough to use

alexlynham10:03:15

tbh cljrs would smoke JVM clojure

alexlynham10:03:34

cargo when you're used to the shonky java build systems & getting binaries as artifacts is very nice when you're used to jars

mccraigmccraig11:03:34

cljrs would look quite different from other clj/s wouldn't it @alex.lynham, 'cos of references ?

alexlynham11:03:21

unsure, the implementation i've seen (which is a toy that admittedly looks like abandonware) is basically the clojure you know and love except you use cargo to build it

alexlynham11:03:56

i imagine if you wanted to interop with native rust features then it would get a bit weird, but rust is immutable by default, so probably not too painful

Morn' (though for today it's very late...)

folcon19:03:15

Are you refering to this: https://github.com/clojure-rs/ClojureRS @alex.lynham? There's activity in their discord, but from what I understand they don't have too many devs who have deep rust expertise, so development is slow going still...

folcon19:03:07

It's on my todo list to dig into once I've had a chance to sit down with rust some more... Though at the moment I've got a few too many side projects to do that >_<...

alexlynham19:03:04

Yeah that's the one
