morning morning

mccraigmccraig10:07:57

anyone got any favoured hierarchic-diff tools ?

codeasone10:07:09

https://github.com/lambdaisland/deep-diff2 if you're referring to Clojure/Script libraries

codeasone10:07:54

For hierarchical file system diffs https://meldmerge.org/ is nice

mccraigmccraig10:07:59

i'm thinking of filesystem diffs... i've got a bunch of migrations from two branches with subtle dependencies and i need to understand how those have changed between the branches

mccraigmccraig10:07:17

i found M-x ediff-directories which is kinda clunky, but is just enough for what i need

Ben Hammond10:07:37

notepad++ lets you compare two directories

Ben Hammond10:07:43

is that beyond the pale?

mccraigmccraig10:07:57

haha, whatever works, but maybe i'll get E_WINDOWS on my mbp

dharrigan10:07:13

Plain old unix diff can diff between directories

Aleksander11:07:13

I use Beyond Compare:

i found ztree-diff - nice browsing of directories, like beyond compare, and kicks you into ediff for individual file diffs - all inside emacs

Hello All - Good Afternoon!

Ben Hammond15:07:14

oh man this is doing my head in are there any splunk experts in the house?

Conor15:07:49

I can't decide what joke to make, this is killing me

Ben Hammond16:07:11

covid testing ruled to be benefit-in-kind https://twitter.com/doctorow/status/1280524068874186752 (which I do not call funny)

Ben Hammond16:07:44

I assume that covers all of so called Pillar2 testing; the test results hmg were not reporting
