It's a morning for pancakes me thinks

dharrigan07:05:24

If you can find eggs! The whole UK supply of Eggs seems to have vanished!

dominicm07:05:26

Just used the last of the flour in them, so I expect that I'll be not having them again for a while with the shortage on

rhinocratic09:05:10

Morning. Baking bread and using up old bananas here (in a banana & honey cake).

Morn’

seancorfield17:05:24

Our egg supply dried up for a while but seems to be pretty steady now (as long as you shop in the morning). We just had our "traditional" sausage & egg breakfast πŸ™‚

dharrigan17:05:21

I was just at our local Sainsburys. Nowt.

dharrigan17:05:36

Not a sausage, if you pardon the pun.

seancorfield17:05:32

We'll probably run out of sausages here tho' -- the supply chain depends on a handful of mega-processing plants and they're shutdown because workers got sick... and working conditions are generally so cramped that they can't safely reopen the plants and maintain distancing 😞

seancorfield17:05:54

(a lot of meat products will disappear from our shelves, apparently)

dharrigan17:05:08

I read that The Supreme Leader ordered all meat processing plants to stay open.

seancorfield17:05:31

Yeah, but like many of his dumbass "orders", reality and sanity prevent it from being executed πŸ™‚

seancorfield17:05:24

How are Brits viewing HM Govt at the moment?

dharrigan18:05:12

as usual - incompetent and moving the goalposts to suit their needs, re: 100,000 tests a day achieved, by sending out test kits, not actually counting the number of tests done.

seancorfield19:05:44

> no floor though sounds of @mccraigmccraig falling endlessly

mccraigmccraig19:05:28

you get used to the falling after a couple of hours :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

This thread is a good metaphor for how the UK government is handling things / misunderstanding epidemiology https://twitter.com/Cavalorn/status/1256169155633479683?s=19
