Anyone here studied through Open University?

Morning. I did - but it was many years ago, when it was affordable! Just did the science foundation year and a couple of other modules. Also worked for the BBC Open University Production Centre for about 5 years (my first job), making graphics for their maths programmes. Deeply cheesy animations about complex analysis, for the most part.

@rhinocratic haha! They're on youtube, I was just looking at them :D

Oh blimey, how embarrassing. I rather hoped they were long dead. 😳

Image quality was very poor - generally with no anti-aliasing. Most of it done with Mathematica.

I remember the PAL interlaced image format being particularly awful. Any horizontal lines had to be an even number of pixels wide, otherwise the edges would appear to flash on and off. Anything coloured red bled into the surrounding area, and all the type had to be at least 24pt or it was an indecipherable smudge. Happy days.
