Good Morning!

jasonbell07:02:39

Good morning friends

Johanna07:02:04

Morning 🌞

guy07:02:19

Morning all

guy07:02:10

What is everyone’s breakfast of choice today?

mccraigmccraig07:02:08

a nice cup of tea, teabag left in, thanks!

🍡 8
guy07:02:46

I went for scrambled eggs and a black coffee

mccraigmccraig07:02:30

now you are making me hungry @guy!

πŸ˜„ 4
thomas07:02:32

two slices of bread for me in the morning

guy08:02:15

Brown or white or other?

jiriknesl07:02:02

Just chai for breakfast (I managed to go 113kg to 91kg just by fasting since September)

guy08:02:56

Wow very impressive!! Good job

Gulli14:02:53

I've been fasting 18:6 for the past three weeks. No major movent as off yet (0.8), but good enough. What kind of fasting have you been doing?

jiriknesl14:02:52

Alternate Day Fasting for first months, then 1MAD or 2MAD and occasionally 36hour fast.

jiriknesl14:02:04

ADF was with 0 calories, not 500

Gulli14:02:09

Did you do gym or any other sport?

jiriknesl22:02:11

@UQXS91RT7 so I have 14000 steps on average per day + I do some TRX

Andrew07:02:24

Morning

πŸ‘‹ 4
mccraigmccraig07:02:29

you haven't eaten since september @jiriknesl?

yogidevbear08:02:39

You beat me to it πŸ˜‚

mccraigmccraig08:02:18

at 2500kcal expenditure per day, that's β…“kg of fat per day... 10 kg a month, should be ~40 kilos down after four months, but maybe he didn't move much and only expended 1250 kcal per day, at which point that's about right!

Ben Hammond09:02:21

depends on how calorific the chai is?

jiriknesl12:02:49

Haha, I had some 60 36-hour fasts since Sep + plenty of 1MAD or 2MAD days

mccraigmccraig12:02:47

ha, cool - i've been doing a 20:4 or 18:6 most days recently - i quite like it so far. i think my psychology is such that i'd rather not eat for most of the day than try and eat less than i would like throughout the day

dharrigan08:02:53

I had a bowl of Porridge and a Coffee.

πŸ‘ 4
otfrom08:02:47

usually porridge and coffee. Today peanut butter toast and coffee

πŸ‘ 4
otfrom08:02:08

@thomas do you put anything on your bread? butter? the tears of your enemies?

guy08:02:58

Who would want soggy bread though

guy08:02:10

Tears would be served as a side drink surely

mccraigmccraig11:02:03

if you boil the tears of your enemies and mix with butter it's quite like marmite, i like to call it schadenfreudite

dharrigan11:02:59

:face_vomiting:

thomas13:02:21

this morning it was Nutella

otfrom14:02:36

ah, see. I wouldn't call that having bread for breakfast. I'd call that having nutella and bread for breakfast.

mattford08:02:19

All this coffee for breakfast leads me to ask why aren't all the Java derivatives named along a similar theme? Crema instead of Clojure naturally. Scala could be the Puck (or maybe JRuby).

Breakfast of Champions!

maleghast10:02:05

Mornin All!

rhinocratic10:02:02

Morning. Breakfast was poached eggs on toast and a pot of Darjeeling.

guy10:02:47

Sounds yummy! Whats Darjeeling like i've never tried it before.

rhinocratic10:02:47

It's a fairly pale, fragrant brew. Not as robust a flavour as Assam.

rhinocratic10:02:57

I bung milk in mine, which probably marks me as a Philistine.

πŸ˜„ 4
otfrom10:02:15

... I'm not sure I can speak to you any more. You don't sully Earl Grey do you?

rhinocratic10:02:51

I have been known to. 😳

rhinocratic10:02:39

But I don't do it to Lapsang Souchong.

guy11:02:50

wow what are your top 5 teas?

guy11:02:02

I just have a simple mans yorkshire tea with a bit of milk in

rhinocratic11:02:43

Gosh - never thought about a top 5! Probably: 1. Assam 2. Darjeeling 3. Formosa Oolong 4. Keemun 5. Lapsang Souchong

mccraigmccraig11:02:31

1. builder's 2. builder's 3. builder's 4. builder's 5. builder's

😁 12
maleghast15:02:17

Nice brekkie πŸ™‚ Milk in Darjeeling can be acceptable; I’m with @otfrom though, putting it into Earl Grey is despicable πŸ˜‰

rhinocratic16:02:57

I feel suitably chastened, and will desist from despoiling Earl Grey forthwith. Or next time I drink it, which is once in a blue moon, to be honest. 😁

mccraigmccraig16:02:34

earl grey isn't really tea anyway @U0HJFE43U, the spoon won't even stand up in it

rhinocratic16:02:23

Very true - it hardly removes any of the plating, either.

Wes Hall10:02:32

Tower Hamlets web application might be the worst web application currently in production anywhere πŸ˜‚

Wes Hall10:02:09

The URLs expose an extension of, "wsc". I hadn't even heard of this, but apparently they are, "windows script components", which basically tells me everything I need to know

Wes Hall10:02:40

I am about 90% certain that this web app is running on an old dell tower in the corner of the office with a "do not turn off!", post-it stuck over the CD-ROM drive.

πŸ˜‚ 4
otfrom11:02:30

oh, it will be in a DC run by Capita at a very high price. The Capita machine will just be a proxy for something in a Capita office that can't be turned off tho

πŸ‘ 8
rhinocratic11:02:54

That sounds depressingly plausible.

Wes Hall11:02:34

@otfrom Sounds about right. I still have a sour taste in my mouth when I was professionally obliged to go to lunch with a bunch of accenture consultants and listen to them wax lyrical about how much of a gravy train the new NHS project was going to be.... 2005 and still not over that...

cddr19:02:41

I appear to be attempting to get down to London on the train the day after the Calcutta Cup with the worst storm to hit the UK in 8 years. I'm sure everything will be fine. facepalm

cddr19:02:26

Spectacularly bad planning on my part.
