@jasonbell you gonna get hit hard by Lorenzo today?
morning
Morning
I'm still down in London a fair bit, but I'm not down until November (and that is pretty chokka atm)
I have 4 free tickets for the ClojureX conference. All you have to do is send me a lightning talk (title and description) that the ClojureX committee accepts and you get your free ticket (or reimbursed if you already bought one). https://skillsmatter.com/conferences/11936-clojure-exchange-2019
If you need help creating a lightning talk proposal, I am happy to help. Just send me a DM here.
That sounds like free money, all you had to do was turn up in the office and answer the phone... ;)
@jr0cket I could do something with my board-game thing you saw if you think that would be interesting?
Ah yes, the board game platform you shared at the Thoughworks dojo. I think that could be a great lightning talk. You could cover the basics of how to build a game and the high level architecture.
You get 10 minutes for a lightning talk
Ideally we would like to see a title for your talk in the next week or two, especially if we get more talk volunteers.
We don’t need to see the finished code or presentation until you give it. Although I am available for feedback and advice
Its a small sacrifice that is greatly appreciated by the community 🙂
