@otfrom No, thanks for the heads up.

otfrom08:07:02

don't say I never think of you. 😉

Oh now that’s a bundle of joy, I’ll play with that over the weekend. Though I have to say that durable-queue has not let me down once being used in DeskHoppa.

otfrom08:07:37

it is nice having steps from durable queue to this to kafka tho

otfrom08:07:47

the jump from durable queue to kafka is pretty big

jasonbell08:07:59

It’s good to have options. core.async -> durable-queue -> tape -> Kafka seems like a good progression to me.

practicalli-johnny11:07:48

@jasonbell whats wrong with core.async -> durable-queue -> TIBCO 😂

jasonbell12:07:49

@U05254DQM Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should 🙂

practicalli-johnny12:07:20

What if you had to.... 😞 That was part of my joy at the bank last year

practicalli-johnny12:07:33

Actually TIBCO was pretty good as a queue to pump around 30 million messages around each day, once we figured out we had been using it incorrectly for 8 months... Quite difficult to find good documentation on it though

jasonbell13:07:53

TIBCO was always one of those unknown things for me, always got asked about it when pouring through contracts in Computer Weekly (the print version before all this internet lark)

otfrom09:07:49

I like that there is a core.async like thing for tape

Morning folks!
