Morning
has anybody had an issue with cljc not syntax highlighting correctly?
(in emacs)
ah nvm, worked it out
monorepo issues with the cider classpath if one project is cljs and the other is clj(c)
https://www.meetup.com/Glasgow-Software-Development-Meetup/events/258476471/ is this evening
This photo from a ClojureBridge London event in 2017 gets everywhere ;)
they generally supply beer and sandwiches
(in case that's a deciding factor)
I did a live re-enactment of Cryptonomicon - I went to work in the Tech industry in Manila for a while... Srsly though, it's a great novel, and he got a LOT of The Philippines dead on...
Anathem is the Neal Stephenson that I recommend to people who've not read him before. I am "getting around" to Seveneves...
is it the clojure devops one?
I forget the name tho
Just curious if anyone knows this, was this ever recorded? https://github.com/stuarthalloway/presentations/wiki/Aim-Small,-Miss-Small:-Writing-Correct-Programs I keep waiting for it to be published, but I’m beginning to get the impression that no one recorded it…
"We're still publishing talks from 2018 at a rate of about one per week, so check back later for more!" -- https://www.deconstructconf.com/2018
(no idea when that page was last updated tho')
He talks a bit about it in https://github.com/matthiasn/talk-transcripts/blob/master/Halloway_Stuart/REPLDrivenDevelopment.md (25m 40s in)
Thanks @seancorfield 🙂
@seancorfield @folcon that page hasn't been updated since like week 3. I gave up.
That's... unfortunate 😞
Looking over the slides for Aim Small, Miss Small, it seems to be a combination of various talks given elsewhere by Stu and Rich: REPL-Driven Development, Debugging With The Scientific Method, Hammock-Driven Development, and Simple Made Easy (it directly references all of those and ties them together). So I'm not sure that it's lack of a recording online is actually a great loss...
