Bore da @maleghast from an also very wet Washington (Tyne and Wear before you think I'm stateside)
Oh I know all about that @dominicm, though I was in bed at 10 to 10 last night! (this allowed me to be up at 0545h to go for a walk, in yet another attempt to get back into the swing of regular exercise)
A morning walk has made a big difference to me too recently 😊 It must be freezing out do early
@lady3janepl oh, that explains it. I'm sleeping an hour later, and waking up an hour later.
@dominicm - It was freezing and VERY WET, but I did it anyway, 'cos it's the only way I'll ever be more active.
@maleghast i ended up doing a bunch of 05:00 starts this summer to get exercise time in - sleep was the only flexible variable in the family+work+exercise+sleep=24h equation
Yeah, I know what you mean @mccraigmccraig - I need to get into a rhythm of early to bed, early to rise and thus I have the time to exercise.

I also think BST is better for daylight fitting into the hours of the day. Plus if we were permanently UTC-1 we would pick up timezone bugs better all year round instead of only for 6 months of the year 😂

A quick ClojureX question, now I don’t work for anyone while I’ll be at the conference do I have to have a picture of @otfrom in my slides by default?

I will not be including a photograph of @otfrom in my presentation, but this is a decision I have made based solely on available time.

appears to work backwards for transducers?
eg:
((comp #(* 2 %) inc) 1)
=> 4
but (transduce (comp (map #(* 2 %)) (map inc)) str [1])
=> "3"

comp
doesn't work backwards at all (i.e. it's not special-cased for transducers) , it's just that transducers compose a pipeline that operates "inside out"
My gut feeling was that it was transduce working backwards somehow, not comp weirdness, but I couldn't have told you why. So I'm glad someone can 😉

, it's an intrinsic property of how the reducing functions compose
there could have been a different design for transducers that made it so that they could compose as one would "expect", but that's not what we have in clojure and I very much doubt it'll ever change now
I figured it was probably intrinsic to the nature of the problem

I’m a big fan of “Whiskey Berber” myself (Moroccan mint tea). I don’t drink it a lot at home, because you have to take it with a tonne of sugar, but it’s absolutely fantastic, especially when served with a dramatic aerating poor. I had it in Meknes & Tangier with orange petals in which was amazing.

I gotta agree with you too though @alex.lynham, green tea is ace. Gunpowder is fine; but if you have the palette (and wallet) for it I’d also recommend Gyokuro; which is essentially a shaded sencha. It’s really nice and subtle, much less harsh than gunpowder. Likewise Matcha is great. If you’re ever in Kyoto or Nara go and do a tea ceremony! 🙂
A friend of ours lived in Nara for many years, and when we visited him he took us to a tea master he knew of.
