Morning
My daughter now calls me Ada. Derived from "Hey, Dad!", shortened to "Ay, da" and then she made the shrewd move to just calling me Ada. That's how she wrote my birthday card.
Good Morning Everyone! I am VERY glad to see that the celebrations for my favourite commemorative day of the year are in full swing 🙂 HAPPY ADA LOVELACE DAY!
@lady3janepl - Can I please steal that graphic for my Facebook and Twitter..?
(incidentally this is a thing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrilling-Adventures-Lovelace-Babbage-Computer/dp/0141981512 )
I’ve had a copy of this for years; would recommend.
Have you ever seen the play "Childe of Byron"? It's a play all about Ms Lovelace. I saw a friend play Ada in a production in Philadelphia a few years ago; was really good.
Morning.
I have a 🧠 melt... 4 projects that are all high priority and all need my attention now and deadlines that are approaching.
always hate when that happens... everything comes to a head at once
thank you @lady3janepl and @alex.lynham
I think it's the mixed underscores and camelcase that does it for me. The worst of both worlds
@cfeckardt - Nothing is perfect, and while the memory of Ada Lovelace is a wonderful thing, I agree with you re ADA the programming language. Thank goodness for Clojure, a language that I am sure Ms Lovelace would have approved of. 😉
