Morning
Those are real face palms
Indeed lol
What does your day hold in store for you today @lady3janepl?
Up Kasprowy peak, then a trek across two linked peaks, then a walk down the valley and a nice dinner somewhere :D last day in the mountains
Sounds very picturesque 🙂
i, for one, would like to be on a cable car heading up the mountain right now
Can’t remember the name, but there’s at least one dev conference organised on a holiday resort island
@lady3janepl Happy to offer advice on running your own conference. I co-ordinate the London ClojureX conference and have run several hundred developer events over the last decade.
Amazing! I’d love to talk about organising events and learn from you. Will you be at the meetup at Signal?
Hello Jane, yes I will be at both the Signal event and the ClojureBridge coach training event next week. So feel free to come and ask.
moooorrrrrrning
btw is anybody going to London next week?
Zakopane?
‘s where I am at the moment. A holiday destination on the Polish side of Tatra mountains. This was apropos preferring to sit in a cable car (it’s one of the well known local attractions)
@alex.lynham the one at Signal with someone talking about serverless? 😉
Is there a way that I can pull in Clojure libraries on the fly within lein repl?
@yogidevbear clj-refactor can hotload a dependency into a running repl. I believe you add each dependency in turn and they are hotloaded. https://github.com/clojure-emacs/clj-refactor.el/wiki/cljr-hotload-dependency It's used when you add a project dependency https://github.com/clojure-emacs/clj-refactor.el/wiki/cljr-add-project-dependency
Sounds similar to what Chas is doing here https://github.com/cemerick/pomegranate I got this working
I know about lein try
, but that seems to be for including a single lib at repl startup
there is a way - but I can’t remember it
there are some libraries that do that - but you’ll need them in your deps before you start the REPL
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11641372/how-can-new-clojure-libraries-be-loaded-in-the-repl
Yeah, that's the thread I was reading where I found out about lein try
https://github.com/cemerick/pomegranate looks good though. I'll give that a try
I can probably use it in conjunction with lein try if need be
I could be talking out my ass here. But I'm somewhat confident I was playing with the REPL in spacemacs and was able to hotload libraries through some magic
I’ve always just stopped the repl and restarted it 🤷 but thats in a raw repl or intellij etc
@firthh indeedy, just wondering who I'll see
👍 coool
@alex.lynham I want to go as well
would be good to meet some folk irl
have to leg it for a train at 9, but will be about for a bit before & after
hardly maximising my time in the smoke but I've got like an 8:30 thing the morning after in mcr so couldn't face a morning train
yeah, it was 6:00am at peak price (£100) or £28 to get the 9:40pm after the talk
¯\(ツ)/¯
a shame but
@yogidevbear clj-refactor has such a feature
@U0508JT9N clj-refactor is not loaded by default if using the spacemacs develop branch, however you can enable it by adding a :variable to the Clojure layer config. I assume you can do similar with your own Emacs config
Who in this group works for juxt?
Let me guess 1)yogidevbear
