I can't claim anything here... I believe it was an effort by either @peterwestmacott or @bronsa

I was just dying to use it this morning... Sometimes it's the small things in life that bring a little extra joy to one's day

thomas07:09:13

I think it is great and can't be used too much. A big thank you to whoever made it!

Not Random Core Function of the Day:

-------------------------
clojure.core/ancestors
([tag] [h tag])
Returns the immediate and indirect parents of tag, either via a Java type
inheritance relationship or a relationship established via derive. h
must be a hierarchy obtained from make-hierarchy, if not supplied
  defaults to the global hierarchy

Rachel Westmacott14:09:55

TIL functions defined in Clojure implement ‘java.util.Comparator’.

Rachel Westmacott14:09:56

(even if they do not have two arguments)

mccraigmccraig14:09:05

yeah, the comparator thing is really useful @peterwestmacott

Rachel Westmacott14:09:19

yes, as I discovered

Rachel Westmacott14:09:14

I went to sort using a custom function and I looked at the method signature and thought - “oh I need a Java comparator :-(” - but it turned out I already had one

thomas14:09:54

@lady3janepl consider yourself special... the only other icons I am aware are bruce and rich , so you are in good company 😉

thomas15:09:18

(even though they are faces and yours isn't, but you can still claim it IMHO)

thomas15:09:31

just checked dnolen and tonsky have an icon as well... and plt_borat and picard-facepalm as well, but not sure the last two count.

You know how there are memorials to “an unknown soldier” or whatever? I think that last icon is an icon of an unknown developer, since it displays a pose we tend to assume with alarming frequency.
