I'm a tight (honourary) Yorkshireman, the idea of spending money on a database when there's already a database there doesn't sit with me.

And on the backend I'm using MySQL, just works for what I need.

I thought that one could use REalm for "free"

as as data layer

and that the paid part was just if you wanted to use their fancy schmancy synchronising dbase tech

@alex.lynham For what I'm doing, don't need it. @maleghast I had a quick look at the site, gave me two plans both involving money. Moved on 🙂

And right now it's about knocking a MVP out very quick so learning new things like Realm or Datomic are definitely not on my radar.
