Fun plans for the weekend @dominicm?

My plans have been crushed by the change in weather. I wanted to go on a long walk with my SO and dog, but I'm thinking I might go somewhere shorter nearby. How about you @seancorfield

Bummer. My wife's away (again) so I expect I'll eat lots of curry (she doesn't like curry).

I also need to go over our (massive) ballot papers for the upcoming primary elections (June 5th) -- we have "thousands" of candidates this time 😞

It's Spring Bank Holiday there this weekend, right?

Yep, bank holiday. Makes the poor weather even more miserable. Boo! That doesn't sound like a thing to do on a holiday?

This week we migrated our QA system from Percona 5.5 to Percona 5.7 via an interim Percona 5.6 VM. We also rolled another site over to our new platform. We're doing data migrations non-stop these days.

We migrated our production cluster from Percona 5.5 and Tungsten to Percona 5.7 just recently (the pinnacle of months of planning and testing!).

(and we launched a new company website too -- and, like everyone else, updated our privacy policy per GDPR 🙂 )

I'm still very keen to start an online Clojure study group that could meet once a week (or every alternate week) via somewhere like http://meet.google.com. My preference would be for this to take place on a week night around 8/9pm-ish as I have family and other commitments on the weekends. A few people showed an interest last time I mentioned this (forgive me if I'm remembering this list incorrectly... @guy @otfrom @mccraigmccraig @sundarj others maybe?). I'm also aware of one or two other people that don't frequent this channel much that might be interested in joining too. I'd like to start this fairly soon so if anyone is interested, please let me know and I'll start putting some suggestions forward and we can take it from there. I'm also happy to create a private channel / group chat for those interested so as not to clutter this channel with unwanted noise if that's preferred.
