morning
Morning one and all π
Really wish I could have gone to DCD too. I eventually got a hall-pass from The Mrs, but the tickets were all gone by that point
always EuroClojure.... not sure what's happening with that tho. ClojuTRE is awesome
I spoke to Alex last week and he said no EuroClojure this summer
euroclojure was awesome the times I've been
Might be later in the year, but they really don't know
I was going to make an effort to go for the first time this year π
At least I know I've got ClojureX to look forward to π Might have to consider ClojuTRE too if budget allows
did he mention the reason?
Nope, not really. >Sorry, things are in flux for Euro. Wonβt be this summer.
I'm sure there will be many sad Europeans in the crowd with that news (including myself)
maybe just me... but the way I read it was... there won't be one this summer... (and my reading between the lines) but there might be one later in the year. Like the one in in Bratislava 2 (?) years ago.
The two US conferences get merged into one AFAIK
@thomas I did ask that exact question (i.e. might it be later or are we talking 2019) and the answer was: >Just donβt know right now
Β―\(γ)/Β―
@yogidevbear thanks for enquiring with Alex. And I am sure there will be another EuroClojure at some point....
I knew that ClojureWest and Clojure Conj were being merged, and I kinda assumed that meant that the Conj would be in the Autumn time like it has been in the past, but there's been nothing official from Cognitect so I am not sure what to think...
I hope that there is a Conj in Oct / Nov 'cos this year I might actually be able to attend it.
StrangeLoop is also a good conference to attend for Clojure developers - I've gone once and met plenty of Clojure people
and it's collocated with RacketCon which IMVHO was even better then the main event
afternoon from kafka conf
when's clojurex?
ClojureEx is still the original Clojure conference for me... the first one I ever went to... and I blame it all on @otfrom
sounds good but 'tis dear
would like to go though, maybe this year I will finally make it!
Get a talk accepted and you can go to the ClojureX conference for free.
haha, if I think of something maybe I will submit
don't really write much clj these days though
or, production clj at least
