Morning
mexican waves back
Are you going to come through for it @thomas?
yes, I am coming over for a few days. My children were a little bit upset when they heard I was going to England... but when my son heard it was for a conference he lost interest straight away 😂
Cool, well I look forward to meeting you there. I'll look out for the smallest lego shaped person there
Also there, looking forward to meet you guys (I might have already at past confs, but I'm pretty bad at linking faces with names 😞 Worth adding your #slack handle on the conference badge perhaps 🙂
@yogidevbear in that case you might be disappointed... I am don't look a lot like the Lego minifig.
My bubble has been burst!

A Christmas horror story
@jasonbell cool, I'll do my best 🙂
and I should be fairly easy to recognise, I am (most likely) the tallest person there.
that's my pic too eh eh... My name is real if you click it. After you google that, my face is all over the place.
Also I am surprised the Daily Mail used Clojure. I (probably vastly incorrectly) tend to assume that politically conservative organisations tend to be technologically conservative and use old technologies too
Yeah at DM it was an exceptional situation, a quick alignment of stars that allowed everything to happen. They are gradually going back to their more conservative approach. In some sense, "damage was made" there with Clojure and they have trouble to get it back to enterprise approach 🙂
Hello everyone 🙂 I am coming to ClojureX too - my real name is Oli Godby and my Slack Avatar is NOT what I really look like 😉
I was just wondering if anyone has a solid recommendation for a readymade, or a good example of a calendar component for Reagent..?
https://github.com/intljusticemission/react-big-calendar this one also had a good demo, if you mean this kind
http://cljsjs.github.io/ is where I hunt for components when I need something cljs ready
Yeah, I will have a hunt there… I was just wondering if people had a firm favourite for this stuff - peers willing to endorse things is always a good indicator to me as to whether I will enjoy them… 😉
although it’s a datepicker, which I don’t need. I need a calendar… (Starts to think he might be rolling his own calendar)
https://github.com/cljsjs/packages/wiki/Creating-Packages it would be great to have you get the externs setup for it here
Yeah, this is the right thing__ OK, I will see if I can package it - thanks @dominicm 🙂
@reborg Thanks for working on your book! I hadn’t seen it before, but just purchased the MEAP copy. Looking forward to the next chapters as they arrive. 🙂
Did the link to that book get posted? If not, here it is https://www.manning.com/books/clojure-standard-library
Dang! That is a major piece of work there @reborg!
Crikey, nice one @reborg… I remember you saying that you wanted to write a book and asking for feedback on which one to write first… Looks like you picked one 🙂
