@mccraigmccraig was that b/c you did a Friday release?
i tried to do a friday release, but my all-too-easy cassandra snapshot solution is now taking >12hrs to restore a snapshot, so i had to wait until saturday morning so i could test the migrations against production data
i think i need a new cassandra snapshot solution
Morning ☀️
We did a Friday morning release yesterday. Luckily it all went very smoothly
Finally got the recording of my talk last week. No sound unfortunately so won't be able to share it on the web
I'm a bit disappointed really.
what was the talk @yogidevbear?
@mccraigmccraig An intro Clojure talk on language syntax, sequence abstraction and a couple of the core functions (e.g. reduce, count, filter and may map)
Nothing you don't already know intimately 😉
shame about the sound recording @yogidevbear . i guess that means you have to do another talk. be careful talking about talks around here though - you can suddenly find yourself voluntold
To be fair, I quite enjoyed it, but it was to a non-Clojure group of devs so wasn't as intimidating as talking to a room of experts in the language
And I learned a lot about Clojure in the process
Onwards and upwards
